Response To The Coronavirus

Our top priority at Strategic Education, Inc. (“SEI”) is the health and well-being of our students, learners, faculty, employees, and the communities in which we live and work. As the COVID-19 global health situation continues to evolve, we are fortunate that more than 95% of our students already take classes online, and much of our workforce works remotely or are very accustomed to working remotely. Notwithstanding these facts, SEI is taking the following additional measures, based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other public health and government authorities:

  • At this time, we do not expect the COVID-19 situation to impact online courses or operating hours.
  • All Strayer University campuses and Capella Campus Centers will be closed until further notice. Notwithstanding these closures, operations and classes will continue as scheduled.
  • We are shifting Strayer University’s on-ground class schedule fully online for the Spring 2020 term (Capella University classes are already entirely online).
  • We are postponing large student events, such as graduation ceremonies.
  • We are limiting all non-essential employee travel, large meetings and events.
  • Campus and corporate office staff are working remotely; we have implemented enhanced work from home policies for all employees, including relaxed paid-time-off benefits.

SEI will continue to monitor the guidance of federal, state, and local governments and public health authorities and will adapt its approach and implement proactive measures to safeguard the health and well-being of all parties. If you have further questions or concerns, please contact us:
